Exciting times ahead for Harness Breeders NSW

It is a very exciting time for breeders around Australia and particularly for members of the recently renamed Harness Breeders NSW. The 2010 NSW Breeders Challenge has been run and won, and with the new breeding season almost upon us, we are looking to the future with optimism and hope in all aspects of the sport.

In NSW the pending sale of Harold Park promises to inject unprecedented funds into the sport for both infrastructure and prizemoney that could very easily see NSW regain its mantle as the premier harness racing state of Australia.

We also have the Race Fields Legislation that once the current issues are resolved, will provide a further injection of funds not only for prizemoney, but for investment in the breeding industry as well as for marketing our sport to attract new participants to it.

Whilst we acknowledge that the sport faces challenges both nationally and internationally, we do have good cause for optimism here in NSW. Our association felt it was time to refresh ourselves and created a new identity.

To complement the new name of Harness Breeders NSW, our commitment to the future is highlighted by the revamping of our image and we will unveil a modern logo reflecting our new identity very soon. The committee is dedicated to providing members with benefits that help reduce costs of their breeding activities and we hope  to announce some other exciting initiatives that our members can greatly benefit from in the near future. Already we have seen a huge upsurge in our membership numbers this year and we encourage any industry participant to join, be you a breeder or not.

Make sure you visit the website regularly as we roll out or new initiatives in a very exciting time for Harness Breeders NSW and the entire NSW Harness Racing industry.
